Steven Goforth is a U.S. Army veteran. He is a HUD-certified homeless individual enrolled in the SSVF program. He holds dual protected class status under federal civil rights law.
He is running for Congress in Virginia's 10th District.
He did not decide to run because the path was clear. He decided to run because the system assumed he would fold. It assumed he lacked the legal knowledge to fight back. It assumed poverty and housing instability would consume his attention. It assumed he had no platform.
